Candelilla wax is one of the ingredients used by Frank Wrap to make the vegan version of our food wraps. It replaces beeswax in the formulation we prepare, and it is also a great film former. Candelilla wax binds oils and waxes, and gives body to a formulation. The wax is obtained from candelilla plants and is similar to carnauba wax. In Europe, Candelilla wax is authorised to be used on plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.

Jojoba Golden Oil is one of the ingredients used by Frank Wrap to make the food wrap. This blog article is entirely dedicated to jojoba oil and to our very special Fair For Life certified supplier. You might have seen other brands of food wrap using coconut oil. At Frank Wrap we opted to use only Jojoba Golden Oil in its formulation and we have plenty of good reasons to justify our choice. The price is definitely not one of them.

Pine Resin is one of the ingredients used by Frank Wrap to make the food wrap. It is known as Pine Rosin / Resin / Colophony. Pine rosin isn't soluble in water so it helps to prevent the accidental removal of the wax coating when washing as well as raising the melting point of the formula so it won't simply slide off in hot weather. In Europe, Rosin is authorised for use on plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.
